Is Chiropractic Right for Me?
The best way to find this out is to come for a consultation.
There are certain health conditions which may preclude you from having Chiropractic treatment, and during your first consultation I will take a full medical history to ensure that you receive the most appropriate and safe treatment for you.

What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Initial Discussion
We’ll chat about your lifestyle, current symptoms, and your goals for care. I’ll take a full medical history and ask about any medications you’re taking (bring a list if you can).
Assessment
Some physical tests may be needed to help identify the issue. These may involve movement assessments or gentle palpation. A gown will be provided if you need to remove any clothing — your dignity and comfort come first.
Diagnosis & Treatment Plan
Once we’ve got a working diagnosis, I’ll explain it clearly and suggest a tailored treatment plan — this could include:
- Chiropractic adjustments
- Soft tissue work
- Rehab stretches or exercises
If it’s safe and appropriate, you’ll normally receive your first treatment during this session. There’s no obligation to continue unless you choose to.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
There’s no one-size-fits-all plan. The number of treatments depends on:
- How long you’ve had the issue
- Your response to treatment
- Your commitment to the rehab plan
- Your lifestyle, job, activity levels, etc.
That said, the more consistently you stick with the plan, the faster you’ll improve — and the fewer sessions you’ll likely need.
What Should I Wear?
Loose or stretchy clothing is ideal. If you’re not wearing something suitable, don’t worry — we’ll provide a gown for any parts of the exam that require it.
Insurance & Referrals
Can I Claim Chiropractic on My Insurance?
Yes — I’m registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and recognised by major UK health insurers.
You’ll receive an e-invoice after your appointment to submit to your insurer for reimbursement.
I work with providers including:

- WPA
- Bupa
- AXA
- Aviva
- HealthShield
- And more…
👉 WPA Members:
Follow-up appointments don’t need to be paid upfront — I’ll invoice them directly. Initial consultations still need to be paid at the time of booking.
Do I need a GP referral to see you?
No. You can book in directly without one.
Do I Need a Scan (X-ray or MRI) First?
In most cases, no. If I believe a scan is necessary, I’ll explain why and can provide a referral letter. Often, if you’re improving, scans don’t add extra value.

Other Common Questions
Can I bring someone with me?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to bring a friend or family member if it helps you feel more comfortable.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
