Something doesn't feel right
but you're not sure what?

You don't need a diagnosis to book an appointment. A lot of what we do is help people make sense of what's going on — even when it's hard to describe. If something feels off, that's enough of a reason to come in.

You don't need to be able to describe it precisely

We regularly see people who can't quite put their finger on what's wrong. If any of these sound like you, you're in the right place:

"I don't really know how to describe it"
"It's not one specific thing — it's just generally not right"
"It keeps coming back but nothing seems to fix it"
"I'm not in agony, but it's affecting what I can do"
"I've been told nothing's wrong but it still doesn't feel right"
"My body just doesn't feel like it's working as well as it should"

It's often not one thing — and that's okay

When something feels "off" without a clear cause, it's usually a combination of factors that have built up over time. Common contributors include:

  • Joints not moving as well as they should — often in multiple areas at once
  • Muscle tension or overload from sustained postures or compensating for something else
  • Movement patterns that aren't working efficiently, placing repeated strain on certain areas
  • Previous injuries that never fully settled, leaving things slightly "off"
  • A gradual build-up of smaller issues that individually seem minor but add up

It might touch on postural patterns, back pain, neck pain — or something that doesn't fit neatly into any of those categories. That's fine. The assessment is designed to work that out.

What happens when you come in

Your first appointment is about giving you clarity. You don't need to arrive with the right words — we'll guide the conversation.

1

We listen properly

Not just the symptoms — but how things feel, when they started, what makes them better or worse, and what you're trying to get back to. You don't need to have it perfectly articulated.

2

We assess how your body is moving

Looking at joints, movement and how everything is working together — not just the area that's bothering you most, since that's often not where the issue is actually coming from.

3

We explain what we find — in plain English

No jargon, no overcomplications. You'll leave with a clear picture of what's going on and what the options are. Sometimes treatment starts straight away. Sometimes it's about understanding things first.

4

We decide the next step together

Whether that's treatment, a plan going forward, reassurance, or a referral to someone better placed to help — we'll be straight with you either way.

★★★★★
A really wholesome experience. Most of my other experiences have felt quite on the clock and money-incentivised — here you get a genuine human approach. Knowledgeable, patient and kind. 100% recommend.

Clarity by the end of your first visit

Even if you came in unsure what was wrong, you should leave with a clearer picture. Here's what most patients experience:

During your first visit

A thorough assessment covering movement, joints and contributing factors. Treatment where it's appropriate to start. No rushed consultations.

By the end

A clear explanation of what's going on, what's likely causing it, and what the options are. You decide what to do next with everything in front of you.

Going forward

A plan that makes sense for your situation — whether that's a course of treatment, self-management advice, or simply reassurance that nothing sinister is going on.

You don't need to wait until it gets worse

In fact, please don't. Problems that are caught early are almost always more straightforward to resolve. If any of the following sound familiar, it's enough of a reason to get it looked at:

Book an assessment if:

  • Something has been niggling for more than a couple of weeks
  • You keep having the same thing come back
  • It's affecting what you can do — even if only slightly
  • You just want to know what's going on and what to do about it

You don't need to be in agony. "Something doesn't feel right" is a completely valid reason to come in.
